Monica Haage is a Senior Safety Specialist with more than twenty years of experience supporting organizations in evolving human and organizational factors. She focuses on leadership, safety culture, a systemic approach to safety, and, more recently, resilience capacity building.
Before establishing the international consortium 2EC, Monica served as a Senior Nuclear Safety Specialist at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) in Paris and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna. Monica also has experience working at the Swedish Oskarshamn Nuclear Power Plant and Scandinavian Airlines.
Monica has led the development of several IAEA publications in the above areas. She was the IAEA technical lead for analyzing the human and organizational safety culture underlying causes of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Accident.
